It never ceases to amaze me how there are potential images that present themselves in the most unexpected and/or mundane places. Just the other day as I was pacing in the office parking lot while making a phone call, my eye caught a glimpse of a leave. There was a partially decayed leaf laying on the asphalt and between several days of rain and sun I thought it made an interesting image based on contrasting colors and textures. Since I don't usually have my camera with me at the office, I did the next best thing and used my 8MB camera in my Android cell phone. A little tweeking in Nik Viveza and Color Efex Pro (Midnight filter) made all the difference. I'm glad I took advantage of the opportunity as the leaf was gone the next morning. Many may think the image is rather boring, but thats the nice thing about photography, you don't have to please anyone but yourself. Of course if you are shooting for a client, that is a different story.
